Children of Today Will Make the World of Tomorrow
National Children's Month is bserved in the Philippines every November. With the theme "Kalusugan, Kaisipan at kapakanan ng Bawat Bata ating Tutukan," we are celebrating the 30th year of National Children's Month this year. This month-long event aims to give Filipino children access to a healthy environment, a quality education, and safe healthcare. "Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan," as Dr. Jose Rizal once said. Additionally, he said that nurturing youth is important to the development of the following generation. The goal of National Children's Month is to help children who have been victims of abuse, poverty, natural disasters, or violence.
The proper growth of children is essential
to any society's future well-being. Because they are still in the process of
maturing. Children are particularly vulnerable to poor living situations such
as poverty, insufficient health care, nutrition, and safe drinking water. A
child, like women, men, senior citizens, physically challenged people, and
indigenous cultures, has rights. However, children's rights are increasingly being
ignored. Their rights are being violated. Children's rights are important, and
they are not intended to be victims of any abuse and violence.
I believe that all children need a
childhood in all its fullness, free of abuse and supported by protecting communities
and families. Children are our future. We must make our world a peaceful,
healthy, and safe place for them to live. We must provide a good example for
children so that they can grow in their faith in mankind and become excellent
models themselves in the future. Children are the future; encourage, assist,
and guide them.
